L’uscita ufficiale di Show Me The Wonder, primo singolo ufficiale estratto dall’undicesimo album in studio Rewind The Film in uscita il 16 Settembre, è prevista per il 9 Settembre, ma i Manic Street Preachers non hanno fatto attendere oltre i propri fan e hanno deciso di pubblicare il video della canzone con oltre un mese di anticipo sull’uscita ufficiale, direttamente sul proprio sito e successivamente su YouTube. Il video di Show Me The Wonder è stato girato in un tipico pub gallese dal regista Kieran Evans e vede la band esibirsi dal vivo di fronte ad un pubblico partecipe, che vede tra i protagonisti l’attore della serie tv Skins Craig Roberts.
Show Me The Wonder è una delle canzoni scritte e registrate in collaborazione speciale dai Manic Street Preachers per questo album: l’ospite di eccezione del brano è Richard Hawley, chitarrista dei Pulp, mentre ad altri brani hanno partecipato due cantautrici britanniche poco conosciute dalle nostre parti, Lucy Rose e Cate Le Bon.
Riguardo alle atmosfere della canzone, sul profilo Twitter ufficiale della band è apparso la scorsa settimana un tweet che spiega chiaramente l’assenza alle chitarre di James Dean Bradfield, il cantante della band, nella registrazione del singolo.
