Quattro fratelli, gli Echosmith: tre ragazzi strumentisti e una ragazza alla voce. Tutti piuttosto carini, il che nel mondo della musica ormai associato all’immagine non guasta mai; e come spesso sembra avvenire nelle classifiche nelle ultime settimane, anche per loro vale la regola del “brano uscito nel 2013 che diventa famoso nel 2014”. Nella classifica iTunes, infatti, sono entrati giusto in fondo ma pronti a dare battaglia.

Cool Kids, infatti, è un singolo degli Echosmith che è stato pubblicato nell’estate del 2013. Passato quasi sotto silenzio, è stato riscoperto in seguito tanto che nel Settembre 2014, visto il buon successo ottenuto, è stato girato anche il nuovo video di accompagnamento del brano. Poco da aggiungere sulla effettiva potenza della canzone: orecchiabile, carina, facile da ricordare e soprattutto con quelle influenze vagamente anni Ottanta cui non si può resistere davvero: la certificazione platinum negli Stati Uniti lo dimostra, così come gli oltre dodici milioni di visualizzazioni su YouTube.
