Coachella dà la possibilità a tutti i fan della musica indipendente di seguire i concerti, che si stanno tenendo al festival californiano, comodamente da casa: chi non può essere all’Empire Polo Fields di Indio può mettersi comodamente seduto davanti al proprio computer o collegarsi ai tre canali youtube ufficiali usando tablet e smartphone (i canali si attivano a turno durante le esibizioni). Presentazione Coachella 2013

Molti di voi staranno già progettando il viaggio e l’acquisto dei biglietti per l’edizione 2013 del più vicino Primaverasound (quello che è già stato ribattezzato #bestfestivalever), ma il Coachella 2013 ha una lineup che mette seriamente a rischio la cinque giorni catalana (e il vostro portafogli).

Coachella (per essere precisi il Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) è un’istituzione nata nel lontano 1999 con scarso successo, tanto da essere stata messa in stand-by per un anno. Ora rappresenta il meglio della musica indipendente negli States e quest’anno – dopo l’ormai immancabile fake – sfoggia un elenco di artisti impressionante con la solita formula del doppio weekend (le band suonano due volte per accontentare le esigenze del pubblico) dal 12 al 14 aprile e dal 19 al 21 aprile.

I nomi? Ci sono i Blur (ormai lanciatissimi in un tour estenuante), i Phoenix pronti a presentare il nuovo album, gli How To Destroy Angels di Trent Reznor, i Postal Service freschi di reunion, i Sigur Ros forse già con del nuovo materiale (ve ne parleremo presto), Lou Reed (serve aggiungere altro?), i Vampire Weekend che saranno in piena promozione del nuovo lavoro e tanti, tantissimi altri.
