Beatles, l’albero alla memoria di George Harrison infestato e ucciso… dagli scarafaggi delle piante

George Harrison era un membro dei Beatles ed è scomparso il 29 novembre 2001. In suo onore, è stato piantato, qualche anno dopo, un albero di pino a Griffith Park di Los Angeles. Era il 2004, sono passati esattamente dieci anni e l’albero, oggi, non gode di ottima salute. Anzi. E’ stato ucciso dagli scarafaggi delle piante ed è necessario piantarne un altro, alla sua memoria. In America, la notizia è diventata virale proprio perché il pino per l’ex Beatles è stato ‘ucciso’ dai… Beetles. (nome usato in inglese che, come immaginate, suona quasi ironico).

Una sorta di vendetta. C’è anche una targa alla base di quello che è stato chiamato il “George Harrison Tree” e si legge

“In memoria di un grande umanitario che ha toccato il mondo come artista, musicista e giardiniere”

Harrison, infatti, aveva il pollice verde e la passione per il giardinaggio. Quale modo migliore, quindi, per rendergli tributo? Ma i Beetles hanno deciso di intervenire. E rispondere così.
