Le grandi differenze col filone principale dei giochi che hanno imperversato in questi ultimi tempi (serie Guitar Hero e Rock Band) stanno nel genere musicale trattato e nel controller: il rock lascia infatti spazio alla dance/elettronica, mentre chitarre e batterie si fanno da parte in favore della riproduzione di un piatto da DJ. La scommessa è quella di ridare vitalità a un genere ancora molto in voga ma comunque in flessione rispetto a due o tre anni fa.
Fra gli artisti presenti spiccano molti artisti di rilievo, come Daft Punk, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ AM e diversi altri nomi celebri.
