La canzone è la celebre I Dreamed a Dream (negli ultimi tempi riportata alla memoria anche da Susan Boyle), pezzo originariamente uscito nel 1980 e scritto appositamente per il musical portato sul grande schermo. In questo caso sarà la voce di Anne Hathaway ad avere il compito di commuovere gli spettatori.
