Mondiali 2014, i Monty Python cantano l’inno non ufficiale della squadra inglese

Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life è una canzone del gruppo di commedianti Monty Python, usata come chiusura del glorioso film Brian di Nazareth nel 1979, e divenuta immediatamente parte della cultura popolare.
Gli amanti del metal la conosceranno come “la canzone che gli Iron Maiden mettono alla fine dei loro concerti” (sì, anche al recentissimo Rock In Idro), un accenno di humor tipicamente inglese.

Ora i Monty Python hanno fatto una reunion in grande stile, con tanto di performance teatrali a Londra, e per far parlare un po’ di sè (ma ne hanno davvero bisogno?), hanno deciso di lanciarsi sul carro dei mondiali di calcio in Brasile, sport da sempre preferito in Inghilterra.
Ecco quindi arrivare il loro “Unofficial England Football Anthem”, inno non ufficiale della squadra di calcio. Un inno decisamente pessimista e scaramantico, visto che i nuovi versi della canzone prefigurano una sconfitta schiacciante fin dalle prime fasi del torneo:
