Strage nella scuola di Newtown: Mike Posner scrive ‘Heaven’ in onore alle vittime, audio e testo

Tutti, purtroppo, siamo a conoscenza della terribile strage avvenuta a Newtown da parte del ventenne Adam Lanza (qui su Crimeblog la diretta live dell’accaduto). Una tragedia che ha scosso il mondo intero e che ha portato Barack Obama alle lacrime nel suo discorso agli Americani. E qualcuno ha pensato di scrivere una canzone e di dedicarla alla 26 vittime di Newtown.

Ad avere questa idea è stato Mike Porsner. Ecco qualche informazioni su di lui per chi non lo conoscesse. Nato nel 1988 a Detroit, dopo un mixtape registrato nel dormitorio della sua Università, firma un contratto con la J Records. Il suo ‘vero’ esordio musicale inizia nel 2010 con “31 Minutes to Takeoff”. Il primo singolo estratto, Cooler Than Me, arriva fino alla sesta posizione della Billboard Hot 100. Un successo immediato. Ha ottenuto la fama anche grazie alle promozioni di MTV Push.

Il brano inciso, Heaven, è stato scritto in memoria dei venti bambini uccisi e dei sei adulti che hanno perso la vita sotto i colpi del killer. Ecco il suo messaggio insieme al pezzo che potete ascoltare dopo il salto:

“Hey ragazzi … volevo fare qualcosa per le famiglie delle vittime e non sapevo davvero che altro fare. Scrivere canzoni è praticamente l’unica cosa in cui sono bravo, perciò spero tu possa condividerlo come meglio credi”
