Tornano i Whitest Boy Alive, ecco Island

Per chi non se lo ricordasse i The Whitest Boy Alive sono il gruppo di Erlend Øye metà occhialuta e riccioluta del duo norvegese Kings of Convenience. Lui da Bergen si è spostato a Berlino e insieme a tre ceffi autoctoni ha dato vita a questo gruppo a metà fra indie-pop, shoegaze ed elettronica leggera e sognante.

Dopo “Dreams” uscito nel 2006 a marzo uscirà per Bubbles Records il nuovo album intitolato “Rules”. L’album, nato durante l’ultimo tour del gruppo, è stato registrato in tre settimane nel caldo Messico e da quel che si legge sulla pagina myspace del gruppo li ha lasciati decisamente soddisfatti:

We have played 120 concerts in Europe and MexicoAnd now, emerging from soundchecks and end-of-concert jams has come 11 songs which make up our second long player “Rules”. It started with 2 months in the end of 2007 in nayarit, mexico, at the house of our friend Adrian Meyer Dentzel, where we first helped him building a studio, Glass Cube, while at the same time working on the songarrangements in the living room of the house among geckos and butterflies. Then we spent the last 3 weeks recording it, doing take after take till we felt satisfied.
